How to Publish an Article in Propel’s Story Funnel
Publishing articles in Propel’s Story Funnel is a straightforward process, whether you’re adding them one by one or in bulk. This guide will walk you through the steps to ensure your media coverage is tracked efficiently.

Adding a Single Article
Navigate to the Story Funnel: Go to the Pitch section in Propel and select Story Funnel.
Add a New Card: Click on Add New Card to begin adding your article.
Create Card Manually
Select Create Card Manually.
Enter the name of your Pitching Initiative and the journalist who wrote the article.
Under the Select Story Funnel Status dropdown, choose Article Published.
Enter the Article URL: A dialog box will appear. Enter the URL of the published article, and Propel will automatically pull in key details such as the title, publication name, and date.
Customize Details: For additional customization, click on Advanced. This allows you to view and update details like the type of coverage, UMV (Unique Monthly Visitors), Moz Score, and more.
Adding Articles in Bulk
Select Import Articles from CSV: For bulk uploads, click on Import Articles from CSV in the Story Funnel.
Prepare Your CSV File: Download the sample CSV file provided and use it as a template. Fill in the required details about your articles in a similar format.
Upload Your CSV File: Once your CSV file is ready, upload it to Propel. The platform will process the information and add the articles to your Story Funnel.
Converting Excel Files to CSV
If your data is stored in Excel format, you can easily convert it to CSV using this free tool.
