Creating an AI Intro in Gmail
Propel's AI Intro feature allows you to create custom, tailored introductions for your emails. Our AI references the most recent articles or industry topics related to your desired journalist contact, making your pitch more relevant and impactful.

Steps to create a personalized AI intro in Gmail:
- Log in to your Gmail account and ensure the Propel plug-in has been enabled.
- Select "Compose".
- Select your desired "Pitching Initiative".
- Hover over "Select Media List" then select "This Media List".
- Select the desired contacts you want to send your pitch to.
- Add the desired messaging (including variables if applicable).
- Then select "Insert AI Intro".
- Move the placeholder to the desired location in your email.
- Click "Generate Drafts" and click "Continue".
- Fill in any placeholder values (if applicable), then click "Submit".
- Go to the "Drafts" section and verify the drafts with the personalized AI introductions that Propel has created.
That's it! You're now ready to send your pitches to your contacts.
An intro will not be created if there are no recent articles by the contact or the industry detailed in our database.
With Propel's latest Gmail plugin update, you can continue to work on other tasks or even close the window while the drafts are being generated in the background.
