Propel makes it easy to schedule your email pitches for later, whether you’re sending a single email or a mail merge to multiple recipients. Follow the steps below to schedule your emails efficiently.

Step-by-Step Procedure:
- Open Gmail and click Compose.
- Connect your email to a Pitching Initiative.
- Add recipients:
- For a single email, type the recipient’s email address in the To field.
- To send pitches to multiple contacts, select Pitching Initiative, then click on This Media List. This will automatically add all the contacts from your selected media list to the email.
- Compose Your Email: Write a suitable subject line, and then draft your pitch in the email body.
- Schedule Your Email:
- For a single email: Click the small arrow next to Gmail’s Send button and then select Schedule Send.
- For a mail merge: Click on Schedule Mail Merge.
- Choose Your Scheduling Option:
You have several options:- Pitchbooster: Propel’s advanced tool that schedules emails at the best time and day for each journalist.
- Pre-defined times: Select from suggested times in Gmail.
- Custom: Manually select the exact day and time you want the email to be sent.
- Finalize the Scheduling:
- After selecting your preferred scheduling option, choose the specific day and time, then click Submit.
- Click Continue to confirm your send time.
- Review or Reschedule Your Emails:
- Check your Drafts folder to review scheduled emails. The scheduled send time will appear in a notification at the top right when you select an email.
- To reschedule, open the draft, click the small arrow next to the Send button, choose Schedule Send, and pick a new time.

- Unschedule Your Email: To unschedule, simply delete the draft, and it will no longer be sent.
