Steps to Create and Manage Your Media List
- Go to the "Projects" tab.
- Select "Add New Project".
- Click the "Start Project" button under "Media List".
- Add the project name and select the related account, then click "Create Project".
- Click "Build Your Media List".
- Choose from several ways to build your media list:
- Media List: Displays your existing media lists.
- Add from Database: Add media contacts from Propel’s AI-powered journalist database.
- Add from My Contacts: Select contacts you've already added within your Propel account.
- Import from CSV: Upload a CSV file with journalists' contact information (ensure it follows the provided format). [Download sample CSV file]
- Create Contact Manually: Manually add journalists by filling in the required fields.
- Use the “Only Show Verified Contacts” option to ensure accurate journalist details.
- Leverage the "Topic Prompt" tool to match your pitch or press release with the top 200 relevant journalists, prioritizing quality over quantity.
- Use filters to refine your results further. These include:
- Journalist Classification
- Reach
- Job Title
- Location
- Media Type
- Search for specific journalists or outlets using the "Name" or "Outlet" input field.
- Add journalists to your list. Simply check the desired contacts and click "Add to Media List".
- Review and manage your completed media list. It will display all the selected contacts for your campaign.
